About The Position
Coordinate and facilitate patient care through the Valley Hospital Health Care System using a multidisciplinary approach to patient progression, discharge planning, and utilization of resources. The position is located at The Valley Hospital in Paramus and is a per diem day-shift role.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program.
- New Jersey social work license required.
- MSW and LSW or LCSW required.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a social worker.
- Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately and attend to detail while moving between tasks without losing efficiency or composure.
- Ability to function competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment related to changing patient needs.
- Ability to work cooperatively within the health system with patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Ability to use effective time management, critical thinking, and clinical reasoning.
Nice To Haves
- LCSW strongly preferred.
