About The Position

Clinical Associates at Alaska Behavioral Health (AKBH) are responsible for assisting clients in meeting overall goals as identified in their treatment plan within a multi-disciplinary team approach. Services may be conducted in office and/or in the community based off the individuals needs identified in the treatment plan, to include individual/group skill building and providing case management for coordination of care addressing areas of management of daily routine, employment, housing, transportation, resources, and medical management. The position of Clinical Associate is divided into three (3) levels of responsibility and independence depending on education and relevant experience as well as the applicant’s ability to take on responsibilities. Positions may be in our Adult Outpatient or Child & Family Outpatient Clinic. Alaska Behavioral Health is a National Child Traumatic Stress Network site and training hub for childhood mental health and trauma treatment. The successful applicant has an opportunity for training in evidenced-based intervention training.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience working with children or adults in a mental health setting preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and the program.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and client-centered care.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
