Requirements

  • Comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365.
  • Interest in the medical field and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ability to connect with others and quickly build trust.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work in a team and excel at multi-tasking.
  • Motivation and desire to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of EMR systems.
  • Experience in the health care field (ex: medical assistant, physiotherapy assistant, optometry assistant, orderly, dental assistant, pharmacy lab technician, sterilization assistant, animal health technician assistant, veterinary assistant, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Assist during pre-op exams and fill patient charts accurately.
  • Answer patient questions and ensure the best service.
  • Work closely with Optometrists.
  • Conduct pre-operative and post-operative tests for patients.
  • Update the appointment system after every patient's consultation.
  • Schedule and confirm post-operative appointments by telephone.
  • Support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks.
