About The Position

A professional multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician. Degree in medicine or other fields, with plans for career in dental, medicine, advanced medical practice, pharmacy, chiropractor, physical and occupational therapy, or other allied fields.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire
• Degree in medicine or other fields, with plans for a career in dental, medicine, advanced medical practice, pharmacy, chiropractor, physical and occupational therapy or other allied health fields

Nice To Haves

• 1 year - Clerical/Customer Service experience, ideally in a healthcare related industry,
• experience with third party payors and computer experience for inputting data and reviewing patient demographic material.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations or treatments.
• May perform scribe functions by documenting all provider/patient interactions in the medical record under the supervision and responsibility of a licensed clinician.
• Observe and report patients' signs or symptoms.
• Participates in performance improvement projects.
• Participates as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.
• Provides a standard of excellence as it relates to customer service for patients, staff members, and other customers.
• Assists with test scoring.
• Assists with report documentation.
