About The Position

The Department of Clinical and Health Psychology (CHP) within the College of Public Health and Health Professions (PHHP) at the University of Florida invites applications for a non-tenure track, clinical faculty position specializing in Neuropsychology and General Mental Health. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month position at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank. The Department has a mentoring program designed to assist junior faculty in their professional identity and development. The primary responsibilities for this position include clinical service, supervision, instruction, and administrative leadership, with a focus on neuropsychological assessment and student mental health services.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
  • Candidates must be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Florida.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior postdoctoral and internship training in neuropsychological assessment
  • Experience working in an outpatient psychology clinic, academic health center or other multidisciplinary setting
  • Prior university-level teaching experience, particularly in psychology or related disciplines
  • Experience supervising graduate students and/or interns
  • Interest in clinic leadership and student mental health services

Responsibilities

  • Clinical duties include a strong focus on neuropsychological assessment, and a limited number of outpatient psychotherapy services, dependent on departmental clinical needs.
  • This position includes clinical supervision of predoctoral psychology interns and graduate students.
  • The position is designed to teach one course per semester within the graduate curriculum.
  • Teaching assignments may include courses such as Advanced Psychotherapy and Introduction to Psychotherapy.
  • Depending on departmental needs, the role may also include instruction at the undergraduate level (e.g., Introduction to Clinical Psychology).
  • This position is expected to oversee the UPTurn Wellness Program which provides general psychology services to PHHP undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Responsibilities include supervision of graduate student clinicians, clinic oversight, and outreach and marketing to the PHHP student body.
