About The Position

The Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry is seeking to fill a full-time, non-tenure track position with an 11-month appointment, starting in the Fall semester of 2026. The role is for a Clinical Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include coordinating clinical activities, overseeing patient care, and contributing to undergraduate teaching in both didactic and clinical settings. The position also involves evaluating dental students' professionalism, clinical progress, and performance, along with providing regular student counseling. A strong commitment to teaching and service is essential. The role offers the possibility of extramural private practice.

Requirements

  • DDS, DMD, or equivalent degree (e.g BDS) from a U.S. or recognized dental school
  • Advanced education certificate in prosthodontics from a U.S. or foreign equivalent accredited dental school
  • Completion of a Master's of Science in Dentistry degree
  • Eligible for licensure in Texas
  • Experience in all fields of general dentistry
  • At least three (3) years of experience teaching in an academic setting
  • At least three (3) years of experience with current dental digital technologies
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to beginning employment
