About The Position

The Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine will serve in the Department of Emergency Medicine at OSU COM. The position is actively involved in leadership and teaching of Emergency Medicine students and works with existing Emergency Medicine faculty. Appropriate effort and activity in clinical research, service, and scholarly activity are also necessary, along with a clinical record of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O.; the degree must be conferred on or before the agreed-upon start date.
Eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma.
Board certification by the AOA or ABMS.
Appropriate staff privileges at OSU Medical Center, Northeastern Health System, Jack Montgomery VA Medical Center, Cleveland Area Hospital, and Claremore Indian Hospital.
Knowledge of all areas related to the clinical practice of Emergency Medicine.
Strong analytical skills, advanced multitasking and problem-solving skills, practice management experience, and ability to plan effectively.
Computer skills to operate electronic medical records.
Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with faculty, resident physicians, medical students, patients, and providers.
Ability to perform the listed physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodations, sufficient to carry out the specific job functions of an Emergency physician.

Responsibilities
