About The Position

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry is seeking a full-time (100% FTE), 11-month Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) faculty member for its Dallas, Texas campus. This position, anticipated to start on September 1, 2026, will be appointed at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor, depending on qualifications and experience. The role is primarily focused on clinical education, with the main duty being the didactic, preclinical, and clinical instruction and supervision of predoctoral (DDS) dental students in oral and maxillofacial surgery. A secondary responsibility includes the clinical and surgical training of residents in the CODA-accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program. The department offers a collaborative academic setting, a high volume of clinical cases, and the chance to contribute to a leading OMS residency program.

Requirements

  • DDS, DMD, or equivalent dental degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of, or eligibility to complete, a CODA-accredited residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, or equivalent specialty training and clinical experience appropriate to the responsibilities of the position.
  • Eligibility for licensure by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
