About The Position

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics at the Cancer Institute and the Huang Lab, in Hershey, PA is seeking applicants for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor position. The lab focuses on lncRNA mediated cancer epigenetics and cancer genome organization. This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.

Requirements

  • PhD or MD/PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Science.
  • Evidence of prior productive scientific work in the form of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check.
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form.
  • Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in gene transcriptional regulation.
  • Prior experience in bioinformatics.
  • Prior experience in use of mouse models.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in lncRNA mediated cancer epigenetics and cancer genome organization.
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
