About The Position

The Law Department at Bentley University is seeking applicants for a tenure track, full-time position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2027. The department aims to educate students on the legal ramifications of their business decisions and the broader role of law in society. This role involves teaching undergraduate business law and potentially graduate courses in law, ethics, and social responsibility. The department is particularly interested in candidates who can contribute expertise in Health Law, Securities Law, and social justice law. Beyond teaching, the position requires publishing high-quality scholarship, engaging in departmental and university service, and actively participating in the academic community. Faculty are also expected to mentor students through advising, guest speaker engagement, student organization support, and collaboration with service-learning and career services. The Law Department offers an undergraduate Business Law Major and a Law Minor, designed for business students to gain in-depth knowledge of business laws and their intersection with public policy and social justice, rather than as preparation for law school. The department also provides Pre-Law Advising and engages with students through the Adamian Law Club and Moot Court Team. Bentley University operates under a teacher-scholar model, valuing teaching, scholarship, service, and community engagement. The university seeks diverse faculty committed to high ethical standards and adaptability.
