About The Position
Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a licensed or license-eligible Clinical Adolescent Outpatient Therapist. The therapist provides comprehensive assessments for individuals whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbances, substance issues, or difficulty functioning or maintaining themselves in the community. The role involves supporting voluntary and involuntary admissions, coordinating discharge planning with medical staff, and making referrals to appropriate community resources. The therapist works as part of a multidisciplinary team, participates in the organization’s community relations program and continuous performance improvement activities, and communicates with outpatient referral sources, families or guardians, and outpatient aftercare providers. Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital provides psychiatric and substance abuse services, including acute inpatient services for adolescents, adults, and seniors, chemical dependency rehabilitation, and an Adult Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program.
Requirements
- Master’s degree.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina.
- 1–3 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting.
Nice To Haves
- 3–5 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals experiencing mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues, or difficulty functioning or maintaining themselves in the community.
- Assist law enforcement, family members, and others with voluntary and involuntary admissions.
- Make referrals to community resources as appropriate.
- Coordinate discharge planning through the medical staff.
- Function as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in the organization’s community relations program.
- Participate in continuous performance improvement activities.
- Communicate with outpatient referral sources, families or guardians, and outpatient aftercare providers.
