About The Position

While our frontline teams work directly with service users, it is the expertise, accuracy and dedication of our administrative teams that help ensure those services run safely, effectively and efficiently. We're looking for an organised and proactive Clinical Administrator to join our North Northamptonshire service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the safe delivery of prescribing services, working closely with clinicians, recovery teams, pharmacies and managers to ensure high standards of clinical administration and governance. Requirements

  • Experience working within an administrative, healthcare, clinical or data-focused environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience maintaining databases, information systems or case management systems.
  • The ability to analyse information and produce accurate reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to work.
  • The ability to work independently whilst also contributing positively to a wider team.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, information governance and high-quality service delivery.
  • The ability to travel across North Northamptonshire and work from different service locations as required.
  • Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting prescribing services, healthcare administration or working within substance misuse services would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the safe and timely administration of prescribing services.
  • Processing and managing prescribing documentation and FP10 prescription workflows.
  • Working closely with pharmacies and clinical colleagues to ensure smooth prescribing processes.
  • Maintaining accurate records, databases and clinical information systems.
  • Producing reports and analysing prescribing data to support service performance and governance.
  • Becoming a key user of the service's case management and reporting systems.
  • Providing guidance and training to colleagues on system use and data processes.
  • Supporting data quality, compliance and information governance requirements.
  • Assisting with service reporting and responding to ad-hoc information requests.
  • Supporting wider administrative functions within the service where required.
