A Clinical Administrative Coordinator involves managing a high volume of data entry, call center tasks, and care coordination responsibilities. This position is full time (40 hours / week), requiring flexibility in scheduling across Monday through Sunday. Employees may work either an 8- OR 10-hour shift during standard business hours of: Monday - Friday: 4:00 am - 5:00 pm PST Saturday: 5:00 am - 5:00 pm PST Sunday: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm PST Schedules will vary based on business needs and will include occasional overtime and holiday shifts. This position offers flexibility with either a remote or hybrid work schedule, where hybrid employees split their time between working onsite and remotely. We offer 8 weeks of paid training in the office. The hours during training will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted onsite.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare facility, medical office, hospital, OR managed care setting
  • Experience with medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (creating spreadsheets, working within spreadsheets), and Microsoft Teams (communication)
  • This position is full time (40 hours / week), Monday - Sunday. Employees must have flexibility to work either an 8- OR 10-hour shift schedule during normal business hours of 4:00 am - 5:00 pm PST from Monday- Friday, 5:00 am - 5:00 pm PST on Saturdays, and 5:00 am - 3:30 pm PST on Sundays. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and holiday shifts.

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy
  • Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.

Responsibilities

  • Under the manager direction, functions as a Clinical Administrative Coordinator in the Utilization Review Department
  • Primarily responsible for cases by data entry of clinical into the Facets system, via telephone, fax or computer
  • Builds prior authorizations and generates letters while staying within compliance with time frames
  • Communicates with providers other departments as needed
  • Works independently with minimal supervision
  • Data entry of faxes into the FACETs system and telephone requests to meet department key indicator productivity and accuracy standards; maintain minimum of 98%25 case data entry accuracy
  • Provide high level of customer service while communicating with internal departments and hospitals as pertains to performance of job responsibilities
  • Takes responsibility for problem solving to achieve key indicator goals
