About The Position

Maintain and log clinical staff mandatory training requirements and perform statistical recordkeeping for the office/department. Perform all tasks associated with a medical assistant as needed. Responsible to have all educational material updated and in stock. Assist with communication and participate in office/team huddles to keep all informed of necessary information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education.
  • Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
  • PA Act 34 Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History Clearance.
  • Act 33 with renewal.
  • Act 73 FBI clearance with renewal.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year medical/surgical experience in a medical/physician office setting.
  • Experience in Healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the manager to Coordinate physician and APP office schedules.
  • Assist with communication with practice/teams, keeping everyone updated on necessary information.
  • Function as the Clinical Administrative assistant to the Practice Manager.
  • Accurately take and record messages relaying them to the appropriate person.
  • Gather information from sources during regulatory survey processes as requested.
  • Assist with communication monthly physician schedule to the physicians and other offices within the practice.
  • Maintain competencies including timely renewals of all licensure of staff employed by the system.
  • Responsible for all clinical duties of a medical practice.
  • Room the patient.
  • Document a history and physical and take vitals requested by physician.
  • Draw injections and place supplies for the patient exam room.
  • Monitor HIPAA compliancy in the clinic with images and patients’ names being viewed.
  • Replace products in each exam room as they are used and maintain an adequate stock of supplies.
  • Place orders for medical and office supplies for the office/department.
  • Cognitive ability to function and concentrate on the essential and specialty functions of the job at a high level.
  • Collaborate with the practice manager to assist with staff scheduling.
  • Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing an essential or specialty function of the job.
  • Interact with patients, responding to client service recovery issues in accordance with the system’s Mission and Vision, referring to management when outside scope of authority is needed.
  • Assists the manager to maintain continuous compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure proper utilization of office EMR, Functions as a resource for other clinical office staff.
  • Provides appropriate education for medication management and patient triaging.
  • Act as a resource to the staff to address and resolve customer service issues.
  • Ability to think and concentrate for an entire shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.
