About The Position

The Clinical Account Executive will be responsible for planning and executing strategies to convert accounts to the use of Masimo products in a highly-competitive market within Atlantic Canada (Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island). This role involves direct selling, product demonstrations, negotiations with physicians and hospital administrators, and partnering with distributors and OEM sales personnel. The executive will also provide market insights to upper management, participate in hospital bid tenders, maintain product knowledge, and manage sales forecasts and expense budgets.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of Medical Device Sales experience. Patient Monitoring systems highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of selling both disposable products and capital equipment to hospitals and the ability to communicate value based solutions.
  • Direct selling experience in highly-competitive markets.
  • Experience calling on physicians and hospital administrators (bio-medical engineers, purchasing managers).
  • Experience working with Distributors and OEM sales personnel.
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Results oriented with a positive "can do" attitude and a sense of urgency to get things done.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute strategies to convert accounts (single departments and/or the whole hospital) to the use of Masimo products in an highly-competitive market.
  • Engage in selling of accounts, including qualification, demonstration and closure of competitive and exclusive products, positioning Masimo technology as the new standard of care in pulse-oximetry and other noninvasive blood parameters’ monitoring systems.
  • Ability to make product demonstrations and negotiations both with physicians and hospital administrators (bio-medical engineers, purchasing managers, etc.).
  • Partner with appropriate Distributors and OEM sales personnel in planning and executing sales strategies to convert accounts.
  • Provide information to upper management including market trends, competitive activity, product design needs, regulatory, and production requirements.
  • Participate to hospital bid tenders.
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge including ability to demonstrate products, position products vs. competitive products and in-service end-users.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts to upper management.
  • Manage expense budget for all required activities.
