About The Position

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Sr. Clinical Account Executive I to join our team! The Sr. Clinical Account Executive I (SCAE-I) is a highly motivated professional with at least 4 years of successful clinical experience interfacing directly with large complex clients. This key position acts as manager and coordinator of the clinical relationship with existing clients. The objective of the clinical relationship with the client is to improve the quality of care while controlling or decreasing overall health care costs. This is accomplished by recommending, implementing, and evaluating clinical programs and services. Proficiency required in interpreting drug literature and clinical trial evaluation, including proficiency with electronic databases (e.g., Micromedex, Medline, Internet evaluation). Ability to reason and translate clinical information into a manner appropriate for clinical and non-clinical audience’s critical to job success. Knowledge of formulary managed care systems, principles, and practices (e.g., DUR, and prior authorization) is an advantage. An understanding of the PBM business is required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of home office or the ability to gain reciprocity within 4 months is required
  • Knowledge of the PBM industry, PBM clinical programs, pharmacy claims and managed care principals and practices is highly desired
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint including use of tables, charts and figures is desirable
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or equivalent, and Marketing experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support/back up the CAE, and Clinical Coordinator responsibilities
  • Assist with escalated member/Client issue requests
  • Develop and implement a clinical plan that meets the goals and objectives of the client and is in alignment with corporate business strategy
  • Analyze client’s financial and utilization data to identify opportunities for improving health care and/or controlling drug and overall health care costs
  • Actively participate in developing the clinical strategy for client
  • Consultant on Plan/Benefit design recommendations
  • Participate in development and delivery of annual reviews to client
  • Consultant for formulary management and administration
  • Other duties as assigned
