About The Position

This position is for a full-time (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week) role on the 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, at a Women's Clinic. The role encompasses responsibilities for a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). The core of the role involves providing patient care within the framework of relationship-based care and Planetree patient-centered programs, addressing holistic patient needs (physical, emotional, spiritual, environmental, cultural, and psychological). The position requires adherence to the Iowa Nursing Practice Act, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and ANA Code of Ethics. Responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care, observation, communication with providers and team members about patient conditions and diagnostic results, and potentially mentoring other nursing staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurses OR graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Iowa.
  • Must be currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa OR must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Iowa.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.
  • Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including the online training modules, the employee timesheet and the performance appraisal system. Job specific systems are also required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a caring consciousness through relationship-based care delivery model and utilization of Planetree patient centered programs/therapies to meet the holistic needs of the patient.
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery of evidence-based nursing care under the supervision of a provider.
  • Recognizes and understands the legal implications within the scope of nursing practice.
  • Utilizes judgment and skill in providing direct and indirect patient care, observation, and counsel to patients and family.
  • Communicates with providers, manager, and/or other healthcare team members about changes in patients’ clinic condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
  • Provides orientation, training and clinical development by serving both as a mentor and consultant to other members of the clinic nursing team (RN specific).
  • Responsible for various duties of the clinic, including reception and providing direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care (CMA specific).
