About The Position

The Clinic Registration Representative provides crucial clerical support for professional caregivers at CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic Arkansas - Kanis, a facility known for its depth of experience and expertise in heart and vascular services. This role involves expertly managing all functions related to patient registration, including meticulous handling of registration, insurance verification, financial assistance information, and Point of Service Collections. The representative is also responsible for accurate data input and record keeping to ensure the integrity of patient information and financial transactions, while strictly adhering to all credit card handling processes due to potential access to sensitive third-party credit card information. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and clerical skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with financial regulations, all of which directly support seamless patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Meticulously handle registration, insurance verification, financial assistance information, and Point of Service Collections
  • Perform accurate data input and record keeping, ensuring the integrity of patient information and financial transactions
  • Meticulously adhere to all credit card handling processes due to potential access to sensitive third-party credit card information
  • Accurately perform assigned work without error
  • Understand patient health insurance providers and scheduling protocol for physicians and APNs
  • Work through large volume reports, communicate to hospital staff, clinic staff and patients
  • Assist with answering the phone or helping a patient in the office while maintaining accuracy and completing tasks
  • Schedule clinic appointments per protocol for different physician and departments
  • Verify all insurance
  • Obtain referrals from primary care offices for insurance that require them
  • Greet and sign for any supplies or packages delivered to clinic
  • Exhibit ability to think through the scheduling process and appropriately schedule hospital and clinic procedures/appointments
  • Understand where to direct patient questions when answering the phone and successfully hand off to other team members when appropriate
  • Identify problems and present to Supervisor if unable to resolve
