About The Position

Prairie Ridge Health is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse to join their team in the outpatient Psych practice. This position is a 0.9-1.0 FTE (36-40 hours per week) and will work Monday-Friday, days. The role involves providing nursing care for a diverse patient population including adults, pediatrics, infants, adolescents, and the elderly. The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) supports physicians and licensed staff by providing routine patient care in an ambulatory setting, handling both clinical and administrative duties. Clinical tasks include taking vital signs, recording medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, sterilizing instruments, and administering medications. Administrative duties involve scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and completing insurance paperwork. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care and education for patients of all ages, conducting physical, psychological, and social assessments, and communicating findings to the RN, physician, or mid-level provider. The LPN manages patient care, makes clinical decisions, and prioritizes activities. The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) provides leadership to the patient care team, conducts comprehensive assessments, formulates nursing diagnoses, and communicates findings. The RN manages patient care, makes clinical decisions, and educates patients, families, and healthcare team members on health maintenance and disease processes. All roles will work at the clinic location where the Provider is scheduled for the day.

Requirements

  • If CMA: Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant through the AMT organization or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant through the NPA organization required.
  • CPR Certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • If LPN: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical or Vocational Nursing Program required.
  • Valid nursing license as recognized by the state of Wisconsin required.
  • BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • If RN: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid nursing license as recognized by state of Wisconsin.
  • Current CPR.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of one-two years of experience on preferred.
  • Baccalaureate degree preferred.
  • Relevant clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine patient care in an ambulatory setting.

  • Provide leadership and direction to the patient care team.
  • Formulate a nursing diagnosis.
