About The Position

The Clinic Nurse Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic here in Casper. This position will work closely with community partners and resources to improve patient care and community relationships. This position will manage clinical support staff with administrative oversight of the providers. These duties will be conducted in accordance with existing Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college or technical school; or 5 years related experience and training; or equivalent preferably in a medical-related setting, or a combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clinic setting is required
  • Managerial experience is a must

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage day-to-day operation of the Casper clinic
  • Manage the clinical staff schedules
  • Manage the hiring, terminating, staff development, and performance evaluations/PIP for clinical staff
  • Examine and resolve patient and employee concerns and complaints
  • Manage budget for both the Casper clinic
  • Identify and define job responsibilities and expectations for clinical staff
  • Address and help resolve employee health, environmental, and safety concerns
  • Provide administrative oversight of the Employee Health Program and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Perform chart audits, as needed
  • Address and help resolve facility related concerns
  • Monitor and improve patient safety and quality initiatives, including incident review and corrective action plans
  • Provide CQI reports for both the Casper clinic
  • Evaluate and make plans for improved UDS measures for the Casper clinic, for clinical staff
  • Staff competency assessments and annual skills validation
  • Manage the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQUI) Program for the Casper and Dubois clinics, ensuring staff maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) competency and compliance with organizational requirements
  • Mentor, coach, and advise clinical staff
  • Provide strategic goals for the Casper clinic
  • Assist the providers in meeting standards of care for patient care, as well as help providers identify areas of improvement
  • Perform vaccine coordinator responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and support for Vaccine Coordinator Program to ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational requirements
  • Orient and train new clinical staff
  • Manage the ordering of clinical and office supplies for the Casper clinic
  • Assist in managing laboratory supplies, concerns, and procedures
  • Assist in addressing eCW operational errors and training
  • Be available to fill-in for any of the clinical staff, as needed
  • Manage mitigation for COVID-19 for the Casper clinic and ensure the mitigation efforts are being done correctly
  • Observe and address functionality of clinic flow from patient support to clinical
  • Assist in resolving billing concerns
  • Manage timecards for all clinical staff
  • Address concerns and provide education on concerns that come from senior leadership, billing, HR, patient support manager, and/or payroll
  • Manage daily huddle
  • Arrange monthly, and as needed, education for clinical staff
  • Manage meetings for providers with outside entities (drug reps, hospital, etc.)
  • Coordinate clinical rotations and learning experiences for CMA and RN students in collaboration with educational institutions and clinic leadership
  • EOC rounds
  • Ensure that incident reports, certifications, licenses, and enrollments are renewed in a timely manner
  • Ensure that new employee tests and documentation are completed for HR and employee health
  • Process improvement for both the Casper clinic
  • Coordinate with the Chief Medical Officer for provider coverage
  • Engage in the community and county events, promotions, and activities serving as a Clinic and CHCCW ambassador
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by executive staff of the organization
