The Bridging Evidence Assessment and Resources (B.E.A.R.) program in Sacramento, CA, is seeking highly trained forensic examiners to deliver 24/7/365 medical and forensic care for adults, adolescents, and pediatric patients who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, or domestic violence with strangulation. This per diem on-call position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The role involves providing direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and their families, utilizing comprehensive patient assessment, developing and implementing nursing care plans, patient education, and ongoing evaluation. The nurse will deliver holistic and individualized care, develop and coordinate an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care incorporating various patient factors, and foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Adherence to policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations is expected, along with continuous professional growth.
