About The Position
Join Crisis Line & Safe House Of Central Georgia, Inc. as a PRN Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and make a difference in the lives of survivors. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate and expert care to individuals affected by sexual assault while working alongside a dedicated team in a supportive environment. Crisis Line & Safe House is a nonprofit agency serving family violence, sexual assault, and stalking victims and their children in a seven-county area in Central Georgia, including Bibb, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, and Twiggs counties.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Live within 30-45 minutes from Macon & Warner Robins.
- Experience with trauma-informed care practices.
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to patient advocacy.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) preferred, however, training options available.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive forensic examinations for survivors of sexual assault.
- Collect and document evidence in accordance with legal protocols.
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to patients.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and legal personnel as needed.
- Educate patients on follow-up care and available resources.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Advocate for patient rights and ensure a trauma-informed approach.
