About The Position

The Medical Assistant is responsible for preparing patients, assisting the physician with procedures and minor surgeries, and performing diagnostic tests and patient education in the clinic. The role includes maintaining equipment and serving as a liaison between the physician, patients, and outside agencies, including hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs, and other physician offices. The Medical Assistant also supports other medical staff as needed to maintain efficient patient flow. When assigned lab duties, the Medical Assistant properly collects and processes blood samples to ensure accurate analysis and safe handling.

Requirements

• CPR certification is required.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required if working in the lab.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
