Position Overview: The Clinic Manager manages the overall operational, clinical, and financial performance of multiple assigned clinic departments. This leadership position provides direct oversight of Clinic Nurse Supervisors and ensures safe, compliant, and efficient patient care delivery across service lines. The Clinic Manager sets operational goals, ensures regulatory compliance, manages staffing structures, and supports growth initiatives in alignment with organizational goals set forth by the Director of Clinical Services. This is a leadership and administrative role. While maintaining clinical knowledge is expected, the Clinic Manager is not a routine direct patient care position. Requirements

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership and operational management skills.
  • Ability to oversee multiple departments and competing priorities, Advanced understanding of ambulatory clinical operations and regulatory standards.
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Prominent level of professionalism and accountability Proficient in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to support confidentiality and exercise professional discretion.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of North Dakota needed.
  • Current CPR needed.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience; multi-specialty experience preferred.
  • Prior leadership or management experience needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership & Oversight Provides direct leadership and supervision to clinic nurse supervisors assigned departments.
  • Establishes operational expectations, workflows, and performance standards.
  • Ensures adherence to the Nurse Practice Act, CMS requirements, RHS regulations (if applicable), and organizational policies.
  • Monitors department productivity, staffing efficiency, patient access, and workflow effectiveness.
  • Addresses operational barriers and escalates strategic concerns to the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Oversees space use, scheduling templates, and clinic flow optimization.
  • Clinical Governance & Accountability Ensures clinical care delivery meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Oversees medication storage, infection prevention compliance, procedural safety protocols, and documentation integrity.
  • Maintains accountability for department readiness related to audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews.
  • Promotes a culture of patient safety and evidence-based practice.
  • Financial & Strategic Management Help with budget development and watches departmental expenses.
  • Oversees staffing models in collaboration with the director of clinical services.
  • Ensures revenue integrity through charge capture oversight and documentation compliance.
  • Evaluates service line growth opportunities and operational expansion needs.
  • Reviews performance metrics and implements corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Staff Leadership & Development Directly supervises clinic nurse supervisors and collaborates in performance management of clinical staff.
  • Conduct annual evaluations for nurse supervisors and take part in broader staff performance processes.
  • Supports recruitment, onboarding, retention, and succession planning.
  • Promote professionalism, accountability, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Provides mentorship and leadership development to nurse supervisors.
  • Collaboration & Communication Partners with providers to ensure effective care delivery models.
  • Serves as liaison between clinic departments and senior leadership.
  • Communicate operational updates and departmental needs to the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Supports implementation of organizational initiatives and strategic priorities.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities Direct oversight of clinic nurse supervisors.
  • Indirect oversight of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and clinical support staff within assigned departments.
  • Authority to recommend hiring, discipline, performance improvement, and termination in collaboration with HR and the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Responsible for overall departmental workflow and performance outcomes.
