The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Clinic Tier 1 delivers comprehensive nursing care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or advanced practice provider (APP). This role emphasizes the provision of safe, patient-centered care in accordance with established clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Tier 1 LPNs are most frequently required to utilize foundational to moderate-complexity clinical skills and knowledge in their daily practice, contributing to optimal patient outcomes and efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities include direct patient care, administrative support, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to uphold the highest standards of quality and service. The LPN actively aligns with organizational values by delivering compassionate, respectful, and effective care and adheres to the scope of practice defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The Medical Assistant Tier 1 is an unlicensed healthcare personnel who works under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional, i.e. physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse (RN). MAs deliver care in a clinic setting and provides safe, patient-centered care in accordance with established clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Tier 1 MAs are most frequently required to apply foundational to moderate-complexity clinical skills and knowledge in their daily practice, contributing to optimal patient outcomes and efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities include direct patient care, administrative support, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to uphold the highest standards of quality and service. The MA actively aligns with organizational values by delivering compassionate, respectful, and effective care and adheres to the scope of practice for Medical Assistants.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing (for LPNs).
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required (for LPNs).
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (for MAs).
  • Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) (for MAs).
  • 1-2 years’ experience in medical office or similar capacity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a similar capacity 1-2 years preferred (for LPNs).
  • Medical Office experience (for LPNs).
