About The Position

Adena Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant for an Occupational Health clinic. This full-time position involves delivering comprehensive nursing care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or advanced practice provider (APP). The role focuses on safe, patient-centered care, utilizing foundational to moderate-complexity clinical skills. Responsibilities include direct patient care, administrative support, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The LPN must adhere to the scope of practice defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The Medical Assistant (MA) is unlicensed healthcare personnel working under direct supervision, providing safe, patient-centered care. MAs also utilize foundational to moderate-complexity clinical skills and knowledge, contributing to patient outcomes and clinic operations. Responsibilities include direct patient care, administrative support, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing (for LPN).
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required (for LPN).
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (for MA).
  • Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) (for MA).
  • 1-2 years’ experience in medical office or similar capacity preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Office experience (preferred for LPN).
