About The Position

The Clinic Lead is responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. This role involves appointment scheduling and chart management, providing information to patients to ensure they can fully utilize clinic services, and conveying a positive image of the organization. The Lead delegates and follows up with medical assistant staff within the clinic. Working under the Clinic Manager/Director, this position assists in maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic hours. The Clinic Lead also assists supervisors in training new staff and collaborates as part of a healthcare team, including physicians, NP/PA's, patient services representatives, medical records, medical assistants, health educators, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care in a non-judgmental manner.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current.
  • Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required.

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting.

  • Training/Preceptor experience.
