About The Position

Middle Park Health (MPH) is a rural health system located in the high Rockies, offering a full-time position for a Clinic Lead RN at their Fraser outpatient location. The Clinic Lead Nurse or Certified Athletic Trainer oversees and delivers high-quality clinical care in an orthopedic medicine environment. This role involves managing patient care, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and optimizing patient outcomes. The position requires leadership in clinical practice and administrative functions, including staff supervision, training, and quality improvement. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and leadership to foster a collaborative and efficient care environment, ultimately enhancing the health and performance of athletes and active individuals.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification in the United States.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in sports medicine, orthopedics, or a related healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a clinical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of injury assessment, treatment protocols, and rehabilitation techniques specific to athletic populations.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Nursing, Athletic Training, or a related health science field.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare documentation standards.
  • Certification in Sports Medicine or Orthopedic Nursing (e.g., ONC, COCN) or equivalent athletic training specialty certifications.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards relevant to outpatient clinics.
  • Strong background in patient education and community outreach programs related to sports health and injury prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries and conditions.
  • Lead and supervise clinical staff, including nurses and athletic trainers, ensuring compliance with best practices and organizational policies.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Manage clinic operations such as scheduling, inventory control, and documentation to maintain efficient workflow and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct staff training and professional development sessions to promote continuous learning and adherence to the latest clinical guidelines.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries, concerns, and education regarding injury prevention and health maintenance.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic effectiveness.
