About The Position

The Clinic Care Aide works collaboratively with physicians and other caregivers to deliver appropriate treatment and medical interventions in an ambulatory office setting. The role includes rooming patients, documenting clinical information in the electronic medical record, communicating with the care team, patients, families, and outside agencies, and monitoring medications and supplies according to office procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to perform manual blood pressure measurement.
• One year of clinical office experience preferred.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association preferred.
• Certified Nurses Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with the care team, outside agencies, patients, and their families through written and verbal communication, observation, and empathy.
• Room patients and document required and updated clinical information in the electronic medical record according to policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate competency in accurate and appropriate EMR documentation and patient care within the scope of the clinical role and applicable policy.
• Follow office procedures to monitor expiration dates and storage conditions of medications and supplies.
