This evolving position is located in the Operations Division with the Oklahoma City-County Health Department (OCCHD). The incumbent is responsible for practice consistency at all clinical operations at all OCCHD locations in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Incumbent is responsible for clinical orientation; integrated clinic model; review and update of clinical policies, processes, protocols, guidelines and orders (PGAOs); administration of the clinic coordination and flow at all OCCHD sites and support services such as client access support services; maintaining or establishing and implementing clinical auditing and QA processes for the various clinical programs; serving as the clinical designee for electronic health records/electronic medical records (EHR/EMR); supervising staff, providing divisional oversight, and accomplishing other duties as assigned in the absence of, or as directed by, the Division Manager. This position functions at the leadership level (Tier 3) as defined by the Council on Linkages Core Competences for Public Health Professionals with integration of all Core Competency Domains. An emphasis on the following domains is important in this role: Data Analytics and Assessment Skills, Communication Skills, Community Partnership Skills, Public Health Sciences Skills, Leadership and Systems Thinking Skills.
