About The Position

The Bucket Operator effectively and safely operates a bucket truck to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. This role involves assisting in daily activities, maintaining equipment, and ensuring public safety through proper setup of barriers and signs. The position also requires performing daily reporting using the AMS system and maintaining positive customer relations. Storm work may also be required.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Two years’ experience in Vegetation Management.
Bucket truck operation experience required.
Knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment used.
Able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
Must have skid steer w/ mulcher operation experience.
Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Must have experience operating woodchipper.
Must meet I-9 requirements.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Split dump driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operates a bucket truck to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines.
Follows and helps enforce safe practices and rules.
Assists in preparing equipment and materials for each day’s work.
Operates equipment as directed.
Helps maintain and repair equipment and tools.
Assists other crew members in all aspects of daily activities.
Takes a leadership role when required.
Cleans up and disposes of all debris.
Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and public.
Keeps informed on new equipment, specifications, standard practices, operating procedures, and customer and company employee relations policies and practices.
Tracks and reports mileage.
Performs duties for storm work as needed.
Performs daily reporting using AMS system to submit timesheets and billing information.
Maintains above standard customer relations.
Handles accident reporting.
