About The Position

The Client Technologies Technician will be responsible for managing and maintaining the SCDOT Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) environment. This role involves packaging and deploying software, deploying operating systems and updates, and managing patching across various endpoints. The technician will also monitor deployments, compliance, and inventory, generate reports, and support software upgrades and endpoint security. Collaboration with other IT teams is essential for successful deployment requirements and lifecycle management.

Requirements

• 3+ years: Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM).
• 3+ years: Software packaging and deployment using MECM, Bare Metal, and Software Center.
• 3+ years: Hardware/software patch management using MECM and Dell Client System Inventory Agent.
• 2+ years: Microsoft PowerShell scripting.
• 1+ year: Microsoft Active Directory.
• 1+ year: Microsoft DNS.
• 1+ year: Microsoft DHCP scopes.
• 1+ year: Microsoft Active Directory Sites and Services.
• Associate's degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the SCDOT Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) environment.
• Package and deploy software to Windows endpoints using MECM, Bare Metal deployments, and Software Center.
• Deploy Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Dell hardware updates, and software patches.
• Manage monthly hardware/software patching across servers, desktops, laptops, and tablets.
• Monitor software deployments, patch compliance, and endpoint inventory; generate reports.
• Monitor Microsoft AppLocker settings, logs, and Cloud Management Gateway.
• Support software upgrades, endpoint security, and hardware/software lifecycle management.
• Coordinate with Desktop Support and IT Systems teams on deployment requirements.
• Review Dell, Microsoft, and Recast updates and support monthly endpoint management activities.
