Client Technologies Technician - Advanced (Onsite)
About The Position
This role manages the client Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) environment, ensuring adherence to Microsoft Best Practices for software and patch deployment in line with agency and IT Services policies. The technician is responsible for deploying the Microsoft Windows operating system and patches, Microsoft Office Suite and its patches, and other agency software to maintain compliance. Additionally, they will deploy patches for DELL and other hardware to production servers, endpoints, and accessories. The position involves generating reports on software deployments, versions, and patch levels, monitoring Microsoft AppLocker settings and logs, and maintaining communication with the Desktop Support Manager and IT Systems regarding the MECM environment and software deployment needs. The role also includes monitoring the Cloud Management Gateway and assisting with software upgrades on servers and endpoints to ensure compliance with vendor and hardware life cycles. Monthly duties include checking for available patches from DELL, Microsoft, and Recast for servers, endpoints, and hardware accessories, and attending monthly Endpoint Technician meetings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM).
- 3+ years of experience packaging software for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) distribution to Windows Client using Bare Metal and Software Center.
- 3+ years of experience with hardware and software patch management using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) and DELL Client System Inventory Agent.
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft PowerShell.
- 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft DNS.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft DHCP scopes.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Sites and Services.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft AppLocker.
- Experience with Microsoft Group Policy.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with Microsoft Cloud Management Gateway.

Responsibilities
