About The Position

The State of Mississippi is seeking a Client Support Technician to provide on-site and remote end-user IT support for the MDAH network. The technician will troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and user-access issues while supporting workstations, mobile devices, printers, and Microsoft environments.

Requirements

3+ years Windows 11 experience.
3+ years desktop/notebook support experience.
3+ years printer support experience.
3+ years wireless device support experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
Basic knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
Help desk/service desk and ticketing system experience.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work 100% onsite from Day 1.

Nice To Haves

3+ years Azure/Active Directory experience.
3+ years PowerShell experience.
CompTIA A+ certification.
CompTIA Network+ certification.
Microsoft certifications/credentials.
Experience with endpoint security and mobile device management.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote technical support to end users.
Troubleshoot and repair desktop PCs, laptops, printers, monitors, and mobile devices.
Install, configure, and update Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Respond to help desk requests through phone, chat, and in-person support.
Log, track, troubleshoot, and resolve issues using ticketing systems.
Set up new workstations and support employee onboarding/offboarding.
Create user accounts and manage appropriate permissions/access.
Support Azure/Active Directory environments.
Maintain hardware, software license, and IT supply inventory records.
Troubleshoot basic DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and networking issues.
Escalate complex or network-wide issues to senior system/network administrators.
Provide excellent customer service with patience, clear communication, and strong problem-solving skills.
