About The Position

The Client Success Representative position at Western Weather Group is a client-facing, technically oriented role responsible for managing the full lifecycle of weather station network clients. The span of responsibility covers client onboarding through ongoing support and retention. The role combines relationship management, advanced technical support, and operational coordination, requiring the candidate to serve as both a primary point of contact for clients and a subject matter expert across WWG's platforms, tools, and field equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include proactive client communications, documentation maintenance, cross-functional coordination, technical troubleshooting, and occasional field work including on-site training and weather station installation. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and comfortable balancing technical depth with strong customer service in a dynamic, operationally demanding environment.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Business, Communications, Meteorology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years in a client-facing technical role.
  • Project management or cross-functional coordination experience required.
  • Technical writing or SOP documentation experience required.
  • Ticketing/CRM system experience (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Jira)
  • Data analysis or visualization experience (Excel, Power BI, or similar)
  • Availability for after-hours support coverage during high-demand periods (e.g., PSPS season)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to perform occasional field work including travel, walking on uneven terrain, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong written communication skills with ability to produce clear client-facing documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience coordinating with utility companies, municipalities, or emergency management agencies preferred.
  • Familiarity with IoT, remote monitoring, or sensor-based hardware concepts.
  • Exposure to cellular network platforms or API-based data tools.
  • General knowledge of meteorological concepts and a passion for weather.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact for client’s day-to-day needs.
  • Support weekly, monthly or quarterly check-ins with clients.
  • Own client issues – work with all departments to develop solutions and communicate them back to the client.
  • Complete and communicate deliverables to clients.
  • Complete Client Success tasks for PSPS events, including scheduling, communications and preparation tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and procedures for clients and internal use.
  • Create and maintain training documentation for clients.
  • Communicate and collaborate with vendors to support diagnostic initiatives.
  • Coordinate new client onboarding from contract execution through go-live.
  • Track client lifecycle milestones and ensure internal teams meet delivery commitments.
  • Manage client transitions, equipment changes, or service modifications.
  • Gather feedback from clients on company performance.
  • Identify trouble areas that could be improved.
  • Look for opportunities to grow with the client and communicate those to sales.
  • Train clients on-site utilizing prepared documentation and equipment to properly install and maintain weather stations.
  • On-site installation and maintenance/calibration of weather stations with possible work in inclement weather.
  • Initiate quality assurance on support call details and deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Be a technical support folder and file structure expert.
  • WWG application expert: Web App, SensorSync App, WWG API.
  • Communication vendor portal expert for cellular and satellite technology.
  • Support Call Coverage - Provide technical and/or customer support to weather station client representatives over phone, text, or email.
  • Data Entry Coverage - Accurately enter data into custom data platform and Microsoft products.
  • Identify, document, and escalate station or application issues to ensure efficient resolution.
