Requirements

1+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, professional environment.
Understanding of accounting or finance.
Articulate communicator.
Proficient in Excel: Must be able to demonstrate experience using spreadsheets to analyze data and build models.
Confident Communicator: Experience in presenting complex data insights with clarity to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Client Onboarding
Utilizing Excel to extract, transform, and load financial, utility, and infrastructure data from local governments into Waterworth. Initiatives for data automation are highly encouraged!
Financial Forecasting: Use accounting fundamentals and domain knowledge to build and calibrate forward-looking financial models that turn data into visual stories.
Strategic Advising: Support community growth by partnering with City Managers, Finance Directors, and Public Works Directors to deliver critical insights for their long-term strategic planning.
Conducting live online presentations for councils, boards, and the public to aid in informed decision-making.
Build Meaningful Relationships: Earn trust and credibility as a go-to advisor for senior municipal leaders through consistency, integrity, and insight.
Accounting & Financial Acumen: Understand key accounting/finance concepts and apply that knowledge to real-world challenges in public sector contexts.
Proficient in Excel: Demonstrate experience using spreadsheets to analyze data and build models. Candidates will be tested on their Excel skills during the interview process.
Confident Communicator: Experience in presenting complex data insights with clarity to key stakeholders.
