About The Position

We're hiring a Client Strategy Attorney to be the first lawyer a client talks to on the worst day of their life. No billable hour requirement. No timesheet. You get paid to do the thing you actually went to law school for - sit with someone in trouble and help them understand where they stand. This is the most consequential seat in the firm. People call us in crisis - divorce, custody, and other trauma - and the first conversation decides whether they get help or stay stuck. You'll listen, assess, and give them a straight answer. You are supported by a team and we expect a learning curve. We've been there.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active Colorado license in good standing
• 2+ years practicing law
• Domestic relations experience required
• Sharp research and writing skills
• Sharp client instincts
• Comfortable in a courtroom
• Comfortable on a cold first call
• Comfortable saying 'let me get you an answer'
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable travel to courts and client meetings

Nice To Haves

• Criminal defense experience is a major plus
• Westlaw preferred
• Filevine preferred
• Microsoft Office preferred

Responsibilities

• Be the first lawyer a client talks to on the worst day of their life.
• Sit with someone in trouble and help them understand where they stand.
• Listen, assess, and give clients a straight answer.
• Handle initial client conversations in crisis situations like divorce, custody, and other trauma.
• Work with a team-based staffing model.
• Travel to courts and client meetings.
