They are seeking a diverse group of professionals for their Client Services Representative training program, ideal for individuals who are client-focused, enjoy teamwork, and possess a competitive drive. The role involves facilitating positive interactions with internal and external clients through transactional and service excellence, interpreting and completing sophisticated client requests, including account establishment and various financial and non-financial transactions. The training program lasts up to 12 weeks, focusing on complex transactions, and performance is measured throughout the role. This position is suitable for students graduating by December 2026, with a January 2027 start date. The role reports to the Client Services Manager, is non-exempt with an hourly rate of $21.63, and is based in the Kansas City, Missouri office. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or some college preferred (or any equivalent combination of education and work experience).
  • Previous client service experience.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and research answers to problems.
  • Proficiency using multiple computer applications/programs simultaneously.
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Employees are required to be in the office on a scheduled frequency.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with their manager and/or team lead regarding their availability and any potential scheduling conflicts.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate positive interaction with American Century’s internal and external clients by providing transactional and service excellence.
  • Interpret and complete a variety of sophisticated client requests, including account establishment for multiple registration types and financial and non-financial transactions.
  • Spend up to 12 weeks in training learning more complex transactions.
  • Performance results will be measured and evaluated throughout the life of the role.
  • Interpret and complete complex transactions for multiple account types accurately and timely using a variety of resources.
  • Demonstrate knowledge retention and continuous progress by meeting or exceeding job performance quality and productivity metrics, starting from training and throughout the role.
  • Exhibit a high aptitude for attention to detail.
  • Understand basic math.
  • Type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Utilize problem-solving and research skills, along with online resources, to demonstrate self-sufficiency.
  • Ensure clear and professional interactions with clients through phone calls and written correspondence.
  • Stay current on policies and procedures.
  • Attend training sessions, team, and department meetings.
  • Accept and act on constructive feedback in a professional manner.
