Requirements

  • Genuine commitment to serving vulnerable populations with dignity and respect.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to connect with diverse, low-income community members.
  • Collaborative spirit that thrives in team environments focused on social justice.
  • Detail-oriented multitasker who can follow complex protocols while maintaining accuracy.
  • Reliable professional with excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Adaptable problem-solver willing to take on new challenges and reasonable overtime when needed.
  • New York State resident with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with courts, attorneys, and pro bono counsel to ensure cases move forward efficiently.
  • Support applications for assistance and connect clients with attorneys.
  • Drive impact through grant reporting that helps secure resources for more families in need.
  • Conduct meaningful intake interviews that capture the essence of each client's legal challenge.
  • Determine eligibility and match clients with the perfect legal resources.
  • Provide exceptional clerical and administrative support that keeps legal heroes focused on winning cases.
  • Maintain organized case files and databases.
  • Support outreach events and legal clinics that bring services directly to those who need them most.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams who share your passion for social justice.
  • Maintain professional relationships with courts, agencies, and community partners.
