About The Position

The Client Service Representative, Employee Benefits acts as the primary liaison between clients (employers), plan members (employees), insurance carriers and internal teams (Consultants) to deliver exceptional service on group benefit plans including health, dental, disability, life insurance and retirement plans. Reporting to the Director, Operations, this position is responsible for supporting Consultants with all aspects of servicing group and individual clients, ensuring accurate documentation, timely communication, and exceptional client experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who's comfortable working independently to provide a wide range of duties to support our Consultants and clients.

Requirements

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to both routine and challenging environments.
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting background (e.g. accounts receivable) and working knowledge of EPIC is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Consultants with all aspects of servicing group and individual clients
  • Act as a liaison between Consultants and Clients, insurance carriers and plan members
  • Answer policy and coverage related questions/requests from clients and insurance carriers
  • Communicate with clients and insurance carriers regarding plan changes, amendments
  • Attend occasional client meetings with Consultants
  • Conduct employee education sessions and client administration orientation sessions
  • Create marketing materials and presentations for Consultants
  • Maintain accurate renewal calendar, communicate renewal timelines to Consultants
  • Process client communication documents such as renewals, proposals, claims experience reports, general correspondence
  • Maintain electronic client files
  • Ensure accuracy of policy documentation received from insurers
  • Assist with other duties as assigned
