About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. Our mission is to prioritize your pet’s health and provide excellent service, aiming to exceed pet owner’s expectations. We are looking for a personable yet highly professional individual to deliver this mission to our clients and their pets. As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice, building and maintaining customer trust and confidence. This role is central to the hospital's operation. VCA Angel Animal Hospital is an elite Veterinary Practice in Flower Mound, TX, known for cutting-edge technology, including rehabilitative services for pets in DFW. We are primarily a small animal clinic, treating canine and feline patients, and also some small mammalian exotics (ferrets, rabbits, hedgehogs, etc). We pride ourselves on high-level client service, personal attention, compassionate, and high-quality veterinary medicine. We have a large 5-doctor veterinary practice and operate on extended business hours. We have a full luxury boarding facility in which we have the capability of housing pets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Good computer knowledge.
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2+ years in client service related field.
  • Open availability with scheduling.
  • MUST be available to close (12pm-close) at least 2 days Monday - Friday.
  • Saturdays REQUIRED 7:45am - close.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ Veterinary Hospital / Animal Healthcare experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
  • Preference will be given to any qualified applicant interested in evening only schedules

Responsibilities

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
  • Accurately maintain medical & financial records
  • Willing to cross train in every department of the hospital (including animal care attendant)
