About The Position

Holmes Murphy is offering a 10-week Client Service Internship program in Cedar Rapids, IA, for the Summer of 2027. This immersive, hands-on program is designed to provide interns with invaluable insights into the insurance industry. Interns will learn about the company's operations through educational workshops, explore various career paths by rotating through different lines of business, and hone their communication skills through presentations. They will also have the opportunity to network with industry experts and leaders for mentorship and guidance, and participate in community activities to connect with the company's culture. The Client Service Interns will rotate through Brokerage Services teams to gain a broader perspective of Holmes Murphy and the insurance industry, focusing on client retention and satisfaction.

Requirements

Currently enrolled or in pursuit of enrollment at a 4-year institution.
Prior work experience is a plus, preferably in a customer service or administrative role.

Responsibilities

Assisting in managing existing client relationships
Handling day-to-day service needs
Assisting in ensuring clients receive timely and accurate information
Assisting the sales and services teams with marketing of new and renewal business to include gathering needed information
Assisting the sales and service teams with preparation & creation of materials for presentations
Attending client meetings
Assisting in supporting the sales team by delivering on agreements made during the sales process
