About The Position

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is hiring an extraordinary Client Service Coordinator for our Internal Medicine Department in Los Angeles, CA! This role is imperative to the success of our hospital, as the Client Service Coordinator is the first BluePearl Associate that the client sees. The ideal candidate will ensure that each client receives the care and attention that they need, functioning calmly and compassionately in situations that can be very emotional and difficult for our clients. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr, dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and make friendly eye contact every time the hospital entry door opens to offer individual a warm and professional acknowledgement.
  • Offer a friendly smile, strong eye contact and an approachable demeanor.
  • Be a compassionate listener.
  • Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone in a way that clients easily understand.
  • Assess immediately upon arrival each client’s rare need, as well as the pet’s general condition.
  • Determine whether an emergency arrival is a “stat” versus “standard” emergency.
  • Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
  • Confirm all appointments in advance ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
  • Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains by ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
