Veterinary Receptionist - Mid shift
About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Pittsburgh PA (North Hills), is looking for an extraordinary Client Service Coordinator to join our team! This position will primarily work 4pm - 4am Thursday, Friday, Saturday and full overnights when business needs require. The pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. At BluePearl Pet Hospital, our Client Service Coordinators are imperative to the success of our hospital. In this position, you are the first BluePearl Associate that the client sees. You will ensure that each client receives the care and attention that they need. You will need to be able to function calmly and compassionately in situations that can be very emotional and difficult for our clients.
Requirements
- Must possess unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.
Responsibilities
- Greet and make friendly eye contact every time our hospital entry door opens to offer individuals a warm and professional acknowledgment.
- Always offering a friendly smile, strong eye contact and an approachable demeanor.
- Be a compassionate listener.
- Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone in a way that clients easily understand.
- Assess immediately upon arrival each client’s rare need, as well as the pet’s general condition.
- Determine whether an emergency arrival is a “stat” versus “standard” emergency.
- Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
- Confirm all appointments in advance ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
- Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains by ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
