About The Position

Top-Level technical expert responsible for the design and development of a client/server environment. Develops the strategy of the client/server system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy. Advises on the selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development. Sets standards for the client/server relational database structure for the organization (SQL, ORACLE, SYBASE, etc.). Advises management on the feasibility of potential future projects.

Requirements

7 - 9 years related experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related area OR Associate’s degree in a related area + 2 years’ experience OR equivalent experience (4 years)
Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months of the date of hire
Current clearance as defined in ATTACHMENT VI
Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph
Ability to solve complex problems with many variables

Responsibilities

Providing technical expertise and assisting with network integration and consolidation efforts across multiple network environments.
Addressing and resolving complex technical problems relating to the installation and upgrade of network hardware and systems.
Interfacing with customers, vendors, and other technical staff to analyze business and technical requirements.
Documenting engineering standards, leading in the development of network architecture and engineering designs and changes.
Evaluating current and emerging network technologies, conducting technical assessments, and making recommendations to the Chief Engineer.
Performing network modeling, analysis, and planning.
