About The Position

HealthRIGHT 360, a family of programs, is located across 13 different counties in California. HealthRIGHT 360 provides an array of medical and behavioral health services to some of the most marginalized populations, ranging from primary care, mental health services, detox, substance use disorder treatment in both residential and outpatient settings, and transitional services for the criminal justice population. The Laurel House is a specialized program for men, offering individualized and integrated clinical services tailored to meet the unique and complex needs of each participant. Our comprehensive approach includes individual counseling, group therapy, and educational sessions focused on supporting recovery from substance use disorders and related addictive behaviors, such as eating disorders and nicotine dependence. In addition, we provide targeted services to address co-occurring mental health conditions, trauma and abuse recovery, emotional regulation, relapse prevention, health and wellness, relationship building, community connection, self-esteem, and personal empowerment—focusing on issues that are particularly relevant to men. The Client Safety Navigator is a member of an interdisciplinary team who maintains and assesses the safety and security of the program and its residents while providing a supportive treatment environment. Client Safety Navigators are responsible for maintaining and assessing the safety and security of the program and its residents while providing a supportive treatment environment. Through effective communication, Client Safety Navigators relay relevant information to other members of the interdisciplinary team and perform crisis interventions as needed. Client Safety Navigators ensure that the treatment environment is safe and welcoming.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment.
  • CPR Certified within 30 days of employment.
  • A valid California driver’s license.
  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and internet applications.
  • Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Drug and Alcohol Registration recognized by DHCS is preferred.
  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Performs hourly Rest Assured Scans to ensure and maintain accountability of all clients and the safety and security of the facility.
  • Performs crisis intervention and communicates with treatment team as unforeseen situations arise.
  • Documents client updates and incidents in the facility log daily.
  • Performs CPR and First Aid as needed.
  • Documents and accurately distributes client money, ensures client medications are securely stored and properly accounted for and hold facility keys and floater cellular phones.
  • As needed, transports clients in company vehicle to offsite appointments related to their treatment.
  • Attends required trainings and meetings.
  • Providing a welcoming culture; greeting clients with courtesy and respect, handling general inquiries; providing informational resources; interacting tactfully and professionally with all.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
