To be eligible, you must either be returning to school after the work term or require the work term as a mandatory component for graduation. You will play a key role in building client partnerships, supporting business development, and delivering exceptional service, gaining hands-on experience in relationship management and growing your professional network in the financial services industry. Potential placements include Relationship Manager Student Intern, Commercial Financial Services RBCx, Community Engagement Intern Analyst – Relationship Management, Corporate Client Group Analyst, and Transaction Banking.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration or Economics (or a related field)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage diverse clients
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Financial knowledge, including knowledge of banking products, compliance and digital fluency
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills resulting in solid client relationships
  • Understanding of business fundamentals, financial analysis, financial modelling, data management, accounting principles and strategic business rationales
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adjust to new challenges
  • Collaboration & Communication skills; cross-functional teamwork and stakeholder engagement across all roles
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to be creative, challenge assumptions, evaluate multiple perspectives, and make sound judgments
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service or sales experience
  • Knowledge of commercial banking products and services
  • Understanding of commercial banking, financial services and business fundamentals
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., chatbots, automation platforms) and interest in how AI is reshaping client interactions in banking

Responsibilities

  • Support relationship managers in client meetings, calls, and proposal development
  • Prepare client presentations and financial summaries for new business opportunities
  • Maintain and update client relationship management (CRM) systems and client files
  • Assist in identifying cross-sell opportunities and supporting client onboarding processes
