About The Position

Alliance HCM is looking for a full-time Client Onboarding Data Specialist who's comfortable communicating with clients' HR teams and helping them accurately integrate their legacy data into our system. Based in Shenandoah, TX, you'll help make our integration processes smoother and more efficient. You'll provide clients' HR data teams with invaluable guidance related to legacy data requirements, establishing transformation and mapping rules, and working with high volumes of historical employee data. Attentive to detail, you'll oversee the proper extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading of data from clients' legacy HR and payroll systems into our platform. You'll help the HR teams learn the proper procedures and coordinate with functional team members to identify and resolve any anomalies, missing values, or formatting errors. With a focus on accuracy and thoroughness, you'll profile data, validate algorithms, and manually reconcile the data before systemic imports. You'll also manage formal hand-offs to the project manager and relevant specialists, providing them with the technical documents they need to ensure a smooth cutover and verify system readiness. One of our goals is to continuously improve, and you'll strategically optimize our data migration templates, scripts, and automated workflows to make our extraction and formatting processes even more efficient.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data migration, database administration, or data analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in ETL processes, relational database structures, and Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of SQL querying
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and the secure handling of sensitive PII
  • Sharp attention to detail with a methodical approach to quality assurance and documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with automated data testing frameworks or scripting languages like Python or Databricks
  • Experience migrating data from legacy HCM or payroll platforms or working with HRIS data models and payroll structures
  • Knowledge of data governance programs or PII compliance frameworks
