About The Position

We are seeking a skilled full-time Client Manager. This is a hybrid position that requires both construction management expertise and client relationship management skills, ensuring the seamless execution of projects. If you’re a dynamic leader with experience in electric utility construction or construction management who can build on our award-winning culture, we invite you to join our team. This position will work with our client, AEP (West Region; TX, AR, LA, and OK) and will report directly to the CEO. As a Client Manager at Think Power Solutions, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of utility construction projects. Your leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills will be essential in coordinating with utility company clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or 10-15 years of related field experience
  • Previous proven experience in electric utility construction or related industries
  • Strong initiative, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a passion for improving infrastructure
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to changing project dynamics
  • Willing to learn about Company finances
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
  • Excellent communication skills for effective client interactions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of field service employees responsible for project execution, quality, and safety.
  • Proactively identify client needs and propose tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and project outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on oversight during construction activities, ensuring safety compliance, quality workmanship, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Collaborate with utility company clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Think Power Solutions and utility company clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by actively listening to their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate project milestones, deliverables, and progress updates with clients.
  • Manage a team of 20-30 field technician employees.
  • Mentor and develop team members fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
  • Establish and measure employee goals.
  • Regularly conducts in-person and virtual meetings with team members.
  • Identify and resolve project-related challenges promptly.
  • Make informed decisions based on project priorities, available resources, and client expectations.
  • Quickly identify and address project-related issues, leveraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Make data-driven decisions that align with project goals and client expectations.
  • Efficiently allocate resources, manage project schedules, and track progress. Escalates and reports issues as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company and client policies.
