About The Position

Schroders is a global investment manager that helps institutions, intermediaries, and individuals worldwide invest money to meet their goals. With a presence on six continents and over 200 years of history, Schroders continuously adapts to societal and technological changes while maintaining its commitment to client and societal prosperity. The role is based in NYC at 7 Bryant Park, operating under a hybrid working model requiring the Senior Client Director to be in the office three days per week to foster innovation, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and relationship building. The team is focused on accelerating the growth of the US offshore intermediary business by servicing major clients like broker-dealers, banks, funds of funds, and wealth platforms. The Client Director will engage with home offices, gatekeepers, portfolio managers, and product specialists to promote the firm's investment capabilities, including ETFs, SMAs, mutual funds, semi-liquid funds, and drawdown funds, while also developing relationships with targeted prospects. This role is crucial for advancing the distribution of Schroders' strategies and capabilities within the segment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in asset management or private banking.
  • Robust interest and knowledge of capital markets, investment products, and alternative investments.
  • Highly motivated, commercial mindset with a disciplined approach to prospecting and pipeline management.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to engage key partners, present sales materials, and convey technical product information.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives partnering across investment, product, and marketing teams.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
  • Possession of FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses, or must obtain within three (3) months of employment commencement.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree with a preferred major in Business/economics or related careers.
  • CFA or CAIA, and/or an MBA.
  • Established relationships and knowledge of platform partners.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting product onboarding, driving research placement, and influencing model allocations at large intermediary firms.
  • Partnering across internal stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of Schroders' investment solutions.
  • Driving adoption of Schroders' investment solutions with home office portfolio managers by diagnosing client-specific needs, understanding model and portfolio construction, identifying allocation opportunities, and anticipating changes based on investment objectives.
  • Cultivating high-level, long-term partnerships with gatekeepers, research analysts, and product specialists at large financial intermediaries.
  • Collaborating internally with wholesaling teams, client portfolio managers, and the product development team to address client needs.
  • Managing prospect activity, team pipeline, and follow-ups.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to launch product initiatives and campaigns.

Benefits

  • Base salary in a range of $125,000 to $150,000.
